We have been submitted and accepted by the CFIA for use within the food manufacturing and associated industries. It is valued by consumers, manufacturers, retailers and regulatory agencies worldwide respectfully.
The CFIA inspection process consists of evaluating each food ingredient individually and as a whole to ensure their use will not present a food safety concern. If a product is accepted for use in a food establishment, a letter of acceptance is issued to the applicant and the accepted product will be listed on the CFIA website.
Mitigating risks to food safety is the CFIA's highest priority, and the health and safety of Canadians is the driving force behind the design and development of CFIA programs. The CFIA, in collaboration and partnership with industry, consumers, and federal, provincial and municipal organizations, continues to work towards protecting Canadians from preventable health risks related to food diseases.
